Seller on the Spotlight... My Doodles

MyDoodles Custom Crayons came about from my love for creating things.  I have always loved to draw, and have encouraged my children to do the same.  When the opportunity arose to start making fun crayon shapes got little hands, I grabbed it.  

I love nothing more than putting colours and shapes together, to make the best match.  Creating crayon shapes for little people makes me happy, knowing that a child somewhere is getting enjoyment from something I've made. 

I really enjoy custom work, making that special personalised gift for someone, or making shapes to match a party theme. 

All my crayons are completely non toxic and safe for anyone over 3 years old.

Spotlight on The Seller.....Terrence and Bear

Terrence and Bear specialises in baby/children’s wear, soft furnishing and handmade gifts and was started to satisfy my need to be creative. Sewing and tailoring have always been part of my life due to my Grandmother being a tailor. I have very fond memories of picking out patterns of dresses I liked and drawing my ideas for my grandmother to bring to life. 

I began my sewing career in Bridal Wear and for the past ten years have made many bridesmaid, flower girl and wedding dresses. Last year I was faced with a large number of friends having babies and decided to design some baby outfits, dresses, bibs and blankets as gifts. The response to the gifts was incredible and as the word spread, friends of friends began asking where they could purchase the baby clothes and accessories hence the start of Terrence and Bear.

 

I get my inspiration for the baby/children’s wear from my own style which has been described as vintage inspired and classic. Generally I am happy with a piece if I think I would happily wear it and often have mothers asking if the dresses are available in adult sizes. 

I love traditional fabrics such as florals in 100% Cotton for Spring/Summer and Tartans, Wools, Tweeds and Corduroys in Autumn/ Winter. I often use classic designs that fit well and are practical for both children/babies and parents including back opening dresses, elasticated waist skirts, waistcoats, bowties and dungarees. 

I also offer a made to measure occasion wear service for example weddings, christenings, birthday celebrations where each item is made specifically to the customers’ requirements. This is available for both baby/children and adults

Spotlight on the seller.. Love Lis Dresses

I make dresses for little girls aged about 2 to 8 years old. As there’s no such thing as an average child, sizes are approximate, but all my dresses are made with love and attention to detail. I often use vintage and personalised patterns and fabrics, and never bulk buy! This means every dress is unique, and there will never be more than 2 or 3 dresses in a given fabric, and none is identical fabric and pattern.

If you like a particular style or fabric, I can make one to fit your little girl (grand daughter/niece/friend’s girl etc.). Just provide three simple measurements: length from nape of neck to wherever you want the hem to be; round the tummy (widest part!); from shoulder to shoulder across the back. If the child has longer or shorter than average arms, and it’s a long-sleeved style, let me know.

The dresses often have a lot of hand stitching, and carefully chosen trims and buttons. I even make felt for appliques! If you have your own fabric I can make it up for you.
