Adele Graduated in 2008 with a Textile and Surface Design Degree at Buckinghamshire New University. Unfortunately she wasn’t able to go to uni for a while due to a case of shingles! And this is when she took it upon herself to learn macramé!
And it all started from there…… when she left uni she had an amazing opportunity to work in Paris for couture fashion designers Peachoo and Krejberg, creating 9 garments for their Autumn/Winter collection 2009.
Adele then took to
working freelance design for knitwear studios in London and Nottingham. Through
an internship, Adele worked for Mark Fast studio, here meeting Jacey Withers a
jewellery designer and helped him with his collections.
Her experience led
her to setting up ‘Get Knotted’ and continuing with her obsession with all
things macramé! Creating necklaces, bracelets, brooches, earrings and
decorations, all hand made at home in West Yorkshire.
Adele likes the
idea of taking a traditional craft and bringing it up to date. Incorporating
her love of animals and colour. Inspiration from different cultures and nature.
She welcomes commissions for extra special items.
