Spotlight on the seller - Magnolia Restrepo Jewellery

Magnolia Restrepo was born in Colombia, in a small village in the Andes. She has worked with jewellery since she was fifteen years old, undergoing a long family apprenticeship in the art and craft of the silversmith.
Her inspiration comes from the magnificence of nature, dialogue with people, the colours of stones, from everyday life.

She delights in fusing and transforming metals, giving life to a piece that becomes magnified by the wearer.
Each piece is handmade.  Each design is produced in small quantities, and is often unique. Her jewellery is mostly made with Sterling silver (925 parts silver, 75 parts copper) but she also works with Britannia silver (958 parts silver, 42 parts copper) and fine silver (pure silver), as well as copper and semi-precious and precious stones.

Magnolia Restrepo aims to ensure that every customer is delighted with their jewellery. Each Magnolia Restrepo Jewellery design comes with a 12-month guarantee, during which items are repaired FREE.

She also works to commission. Magnolia would be delighted to discuss your ideas with you, to help ensure that you have in your hands that special jewel that you always wanted.

Fabrication has been for Magnolia a great opportunity to meet people, to find friends, and to help grow her business in a new country and in a new language.

Spotlight on the seller - Our Little Craft Comapny

Our Little Craft Company is the creation of Lisa and Sally, two Yorkshire sisters whose love of all things handmade has motivated us to create a collection of original textile and craft wares of our very own.

We love what we do and are constantly developing are collection, usually inspired by Lisa’s latest fabric find or a forgotten doodle in her sketchbook.  The 2013 range includes new designs of old favourites, retro style shoppers, appliquéd cushions, and beautiful hand stitched accessories along with the irrepressible Yorkshire Voodoo and even more Make Your Own Kits to inspire novice crafters to get stitching with us.

We feel very lucky to be a part of Fabrication, it’s fantastic having an outlet slap bang in the centre of Leeds and the support from Dawn and the other sellers has been amazing. Working from home can be very isolating and having the chance to get feedback and advice from makers in the same position is invaluable.

Our aim is to support local suppliers, arts and craftsmen and encourage environmentally responsible trade. Everything we sell is designed & made by Lisa or Sally, so customers can buy from us with a clear and green conscious safe in the knowledge that an item from Our little Craft Company doesn't cost the earth, involves no importation of cheap goods at inflated prices and no slave labour.
